Your skin is like a protective shield for your body. Not only should it remain radiant and glowing but also healthy and well-nourished. A good skincare routine doesn’t require hours of your day or going to the salon every week. Although with age, stress, hectic work schedules, and not having a balanced diet, your skin can turn dull and dry, but nobody wants that right? You can achieve healthy and glowing skin by making simple changes and additions in your daily routine. Here I will provide you with different easy remedies and tips which you can adopt for a brighter and healthier skin without needing to buy expensive products so without further ado, let’s dive straight into them!

1. DRINK LOADSS OF WATER!!

Skin is just another organ of your body. Without getting enough water, it will turn dull and dried up. That is the primary cause of wrinkles and flaky skin. To achieve a healthy and glowing skin make it your routine to drink at least EIGHT glasses of water every day. This will not only eliminate all the toxins from your body but also help you to achieve radiant skin. Even if it requires setting a reminder on your mobile after every few hours but it’ll be surely worth it!

2. USE RAW MILK

This basic commodity is for sure available in every household. There are several nutrients present in raw milk like vitamin A, vitamin D, lactic acid, calcium, potassium and proteins. These nutrients have a variety of benefits for the skin such as healing dry and flaky skin, reducing dark spots, moisturizing and hydrating the skin and leading towards a youthful and wrinkle-free face.

How to use?

  • For cleansing your skin, you can apply raw milk all over your washed face. Gently rub it with your fingers in circular motions and then wipe off with a cotton ball. This will help you to get rid of the accumulated dirt and give an instant glow!
  • For moisturizing and getting rid of the dryness, simply apply the milk all over your face with a cotton pad. Wait for 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
  • You can even enjoy a soothing, exfoliating bath using approximately six cups of milk, a cup of honey, ½ cup of rose water in a tub of lukewarm water.

3. APPLY HONEY:

Honey is another readily available product that can be used for healthy and glowing skin in several ways. It adds a perfectly natural radiance to the skin.

How to use?

  • Simply applying honey over clean face and washing with lukewarm water 3 to 4 times a week can bring that natural glow on your face. Apart from that, honey can be applied with various other ingredients.
  • Make a paste of 1 banana, 1 teaspoon honey and some drops of lemon juice and apply it over clean face. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. (use it once a week )
  • Rosewater is a natural ingredient that gives glowing skin. Applying it with honey can provide a natural glow to the face and also inhibit the growth of toxic bacteria. Simply mix 2 teaspoons of rose water with a tablespoon of honey and apply this paste to clean skin. Wait for 15 minutes then wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. You will feel that amazing softness and glow in your skin.

4. USE LEMON AND SUGAR:

Lemon has a rejuvenating effect on the skin as it takes away all the harmful bacteria, evens the skin tone and gives it a natural glow. Sugar granules have an exfoliating effect and can help to scrub off the dead skin cells. So both of these super ingredients combined together can give a touch of softness and glow to your face by removing all the dead skin and blackheads.

How to use:

  • Take a clean washcloth and dip it in a bowl of warm water. Put the warm damp cloth on your washed face to open up the pores.
  • Take a small bowl and squeeze in half a big lemon along with up to 3 teaspoons of sugar. Let it dissolve partially in the lemon juice.
  • Now, take a cotton pad and dip it in the lemon and sugar mixture. Rub the cotton pad on your face and neck in circular motions. Use as many cotton pads as needed.
  • Let it sit on your face for about 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water and then enclose face pores by washing with cold water.

5. USE TURMERIC

With the presence of curcumin, which is a potent antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric has a calm and soothing effect on the skin. It keeps your skin supple, glowing and can also reduce scarring. Take caution and do not use turmeric if you are allergic. The best strategy is to apply a little amount on your forearm and wait for some time to check for any reaction before applying on face.

How to use?

  • Mix about 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 3 to 4 tablespoons of chickpea flour.
  • Add a proper amount of milk to make a paste. Apply it on your face and neck and leave it for up to 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with water and pat dry. This face mask can be used 1 to 2 times a week.

6. USE OLIVE OIL:

A world-renowned plastic surgeon Paul Lorenc agrees that olive oil has antioxidant properties and can protect skin against damage and inflammation. Apart from that, olive oil is a superb moisturizer and gives a natural glow to the skin. You can make it a routine to use olive oil every day before going to bed. This is a natural and chemical-free way to remove makeup and all dirt from your face.

How to use:

  • Take a little amount of olive oil and apply it on your face and neck using your fingertips.
  • Massage in an upward circular motion for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Take a warm damp face towel and gently wipe the oil off with it.

7. DRINK FRESH JUICES:

We all know the importance of drinking fresh juices of fruits and vegetables for maintaining a healthy diet, but in addition to that, intake of fresh fruit and vegetable juices can release all the toxins from your body and give your skin a natural glow.
